Baler is known to be a destination for those who are into surfing, but after going there, I'd say that it's pretty great for both surfers and non-surfers alike. If you're like me who has never tried surfing even if I'm from a tropical country, then you can go ahead and get some basic lessons in Baler. It'll start with some exercises on the sand before you go to the sea, so you won't have to worry. Aside from that, I've heard a lot of people say that they haven't tried it because they don't know how to swim. Well, here's some good news - Baler has great waves for surfing, but you don't have to go to the deep parts. The waves are good for trying out surfing even in the shallow parts not so far from the shore!
