This is the second leg of my early summer week in the Algarve (check out my first stop in Albufeira and the Benagil Caves here) and from Albufeira, I headed to the village of Alte. The highlight of my trip there was Queda do Vigário, which took a little steep trek to get to, but definitely worth it. Next to the waterfall, there is a leisure area with a lawn where you can take the opportunity to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding landscape. 

  

The village itself was like on of those typical Portuguese ones, small and cute, and in white and blue mostly. It was really hot, but I still managed to walk around and check out some open shops. I bought some picante (to take home) since they said it should be really good from there. Let's see!
