AROUCA GEOPARK: Passadiços do Paiva

Another one of the many things that is great about Portugal is that it can be October, and it would still be sunny enough to have a really enjoyable hike or trek! So I took advantage of that, and went to do one of the most popular walks in Portugal, the Paiva Walkways. The wooden walkways itself are 8km, but when I came, the 516 Arouca Suspension Bridge was already opened, so in total it was 12km (based on my Mi Band, which may or may not have included the walk from the parking lot...)

There is a climb in the beginning, which is probably the only difficult part of the trail, but otherwise it was a very nice experience. The route is along the Paiva river, which gives you a vibe of peacefulness and serenity in a way. You can do a roundtrip walk, but during my visit, I only did one way - photos below:
